Three Seconds wins International Dagger

Posted: July 22, 2011 in Book Awards, Sweden

Thanks to a tweet from Karen of Euro Crime for the information that the 2011 CWA International Dagger was won by Three Seconds by Borge Hellstrom and Anders Roslund.

You can read my review here.

Although I did not think Three Seconds would win the CWA International Dagger I did pick it as one of my five best Euro Crime reads of 2010.

Agreed, Norman, that its a racingly exciting read, but also not at the pinnacle of crime fiction 😉

  2. Norman says:

Maxine, I did enjoy the excitement and of course was able to identify with the broken down older police detective Ewert Grens. I think it was a good example of a particular type of thriller so full of details it reminded me of Frederick Forsyth’s Day of the Jackal.
Roslund and Hellstrom are obviously very popular in Sweden as in 6 years they have been shortlisted for best novel four times and won it once. ;o)
