My reading year 2011

Posted: December 30, 2011 in notes

Here are the charts that tell the story of my reading in 2011. I only read 48 books but it was a case of quality rather than quantity.

  1. Norman – I like those charts! They give such a clear picture of the breadth of your reading. And you’re right; it’s a matter of quality – not quantity :-).

  2. Norman says:

I am going to do the meme I discovered at Bernadette’s Reaction to Reading and expand it a bit. http://bit.ly/s43HCG

  3. Maxine says:

Very impressive proportion of translated to native English. Also like the big Swedish slice of pie, it is hard to get away from good Swedish crime fiction at the moment.

  4. Norman says:

Maxine incredibly at one point in the year I read ten translated books in a row! And I have just started yet another Swedish book, Asa Larsson’s Until thy Wrath be Past. My son and daughter-in- law bought me the new Ian Rankins perhaps to wean me onto homegrown crime fiction. 😉

  5. Maxine says:

I liked Stef Penney’s The Invisible Ones, Norman, if you are interested in trying homegrown again. It is not quite as south as you but not as north as Rankin 😉

  6. it’s just like that old saying – a chart is worth a thousand words – the charts tell a great story.
